Jailed for watching satellite television and using internet

Shahrzadnews:Between March and December 2011 over 372 people living in Iran’s Malayer province were sent to jail after being found in possession of satellite television dishes. These can receive programmes from foreign or opposition stations which the Iranian regime says “broadcast hostile and corrupt material.” The figure represents a sharp increase of such cases.

According to Mehdi Ahmadi Tajvid, the Chief of Justice for the province, 245 people were arrested for the offence in 2010, while the figure for 2009 was only 112.

Judge Tajvid added that his office was seeking a total ban on satellite television, internet and CD distribution in the province.

Oder werden sie durch bestimmte Handlungen umgangen? Daher müssen ständig Prüfungen erfolgen. Regelungen, die die Bekämpfung von Iranischen Kernwaffen betreffen, müssen vom Gerichtshofs der Europäischen Union spezifiziert werden – wie in folgendem Fall.

Lieferung eines deutschen Keramiksinterofens in der Iran?

Dieser Sachverhalt betrifft den sogenannten Sinterofen, mit dem Teile von Nuklearraketen hergestellt werden können. Es ist ein Sinterofen deutschen Fabrikats. Er wurde in den Iran geliefert und dort aufgestellt. Er wies Funktionstüchtigkeit auf, jedoch keine Verwendungsbereitschaft.

Der Sicherheitsrat der Vereinten Nationen verhängt Restriktionen gegenüber dem Iran, was nukleare Waffen betrifft. Dies bezieht sich sowohl auf die nuklearen Waffen an sich als auch auf deren Trägersysteme, die Raketen also. Zur Umsetzung der entsprechenden Resolution wurden Verordnungen aufgestellt. Auch eine Auflistung von Namen fällt darunter, die damit in Verbindung stehen. Dies können laut Pressemitteilung des Gerichtshofs der Europäischen Union “Personen, Organisationen oder Einrichtungen” sein. Ihnen dürfen keine unmittelbaren oder mittelbaren Gelder oder wirtschaftlichen Ressourcen zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Iranian Judiciary Must Overturn Death Sentence for Canadian Resident and End Assault on Internet Freedoms

(1 February 2012) Iran should immediately suspend the death sentence for web programmer and Canadian resident Saeed Malekpour and investigate allegations of his torture, the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran said today.

On 30 January 2012 Iran’s Supreme Court upheld the death sentence of 36-year-old Malekpour for “insulting Islamic sanctities” allegedly because he managed a network of pornographic websites. Malekpour’s family has maintained that he simply developed image-sharing software that was used, without his knowledge, to post pornographic photos.
